We get it. Your inbox is a jungle. It's got newsletters, receipts, a few misplaced cat GIFs, and yes, our fantastic (but sometimes frequent!) updates. The question is: do you want to be on the cutting edge of CodeMonkey news, or are you seeking a moment of peace? Here's how to manage the notifications and keep your digital life in balance.

Option A: "I Must Know Everything!" (How to Subscribe)

Once you create a CodeMonkey account, whether it is a free trial or a paid home or school subscription, you will automatically begin receiving emails. The majority of emails you receive will be related to your account, such as purchase confirmations or account activation links. You will also receive emails about new courses released, updated features or tools, or resources that you may find helpful!

Option B: "Inbox Intervention!" (How to Unsubscribe)

If you've hit peak email and need a moment of tranquility (or maybe you just finished the Banana Tales course and need a break), unsubscribing is quick and painless. We promise we won't cry... much.

1. Locate the Escape Hatch: Open any email you've recently received from CodeMonkey. Now, scroll down. And down. Keep going... almost there!

2. Find the Unsubscribe Link: Tucked away in the very bottom footer (usually in tiny, unassuming text), you will find the sacred "update your preferences" or "unsubscribe" link. This is your escape route.

3. Click and Conquer: Click the link! You will be taken to a page where you can:

  • Manage Preferences: Choose to only receive the really important emails (like billing or major service updates) and filter out the fun stuff.

  • Unsubscribe Completely: Hit the big button to cut the email cord entirely.

4. The Farewell Confirmation: You’ll see a final confirmation message. High-five your screen—your inbox just got a little roomier!

⚠️ A Gentle Warning: Even if you unsubscribe from our marketing and educational emails, you might still receive essential transactional emails (like password resets or payment confirmations). These are the emails that keep your account running smoothly, and we can’t stop those! They are like the necessary vegetables of your inbox.
