The CodeMonkey platform (after users log in) is COPPA compliant, as certified by PRIVO. View our certification here.
Being COPPA compliant means, among many criteria, that we do not collect personal information from users under 13. We also ask teachers and parents to create a username for their students or children that does not contain their full name, to protect their privacy.
We also take extra precaution when users share creations on to Discover (CodeMonkey's creativity community), by moderating every creation for personal information, in addition to assuring the content is appropriate for children and educational communities.
When joining the CodeMonkey community, we ask you to take extra care with the information you share when creating usernames or giving a title to your CodeMonkey creation.
