We use a star rating to rank solutions. After every completed challenge the student gets a star rating on their solution. The stars are distributed in the following way:

  • The first star is given if challenge completed

    • For example, in Coding Adventure - all bananas caught

  • The second star is given if users used what they learned

  • The third star is given if the code is short and to the point

Grading works based on the stars:

  • A one-star solution is worth 30 points

  • A two-star solution is worth 80 points

  • A three-star solution is worth 100 points
