Assigning courses is a feature that helps you control what content your students can access. By assigning only certain courses to a class, students cannot jump ahead and progress in any other courses except for the ones assigned to them.

From the Classroom dashboard, navigate to the 'Assignments' tab. From there, you are able to view:

  • Which available courses are in your subscription

  • Which courses have already been assigned (arrow 2)

  • Choose which courses to assign or unassign

Please begin by ensuring the Courses filter (arrow 3) is set to either "all" categories, levels, and topics, or only to viewing the ones you're interested in at the moment.

*Please note: Our monthly activity and core courses will be unassigned to your classroom by default and will need to be unassigned if you do not want students to have access.

To Assign Courses to a Classroom:

  1. Go to the ‘My Classrooms’ page. A list of classrooms will appear; choose the desired classroom.

  2. In the dashboard, go to the ‘Assignments’ tab.

  3. Find the course you would like to assign and click on the “Assign to class” button.

  4. You will now see a flag saying “Assigned” on the course.

  5. You can also choose to unassign courses so that students cannot move forward by themselves. Click on the 3-dots "More options" button to unassign the course. You can also "Read more" about the course from this "More options" button.

*Note: You can also assign courses to multiple classrooms from the "Class Assignments" section. See this article to learn more information.
